2) The most vibrant port-city culture in Korea<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In places like Gukje Market, Jagalchi Market, and Nampo-dong, people have the cheerful personality typical of a port town.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
The many seafood dishes are very expensive if you eat them in tourist areas. I recommend the Seomyeon area of Busan. Half the price of Seoul!<\/li>\n\n\n\n
An open-minded city that feels friendly to foreigners \u2192 A \u201cport-city vibe\u201d completely different from Seoul. Every season has its night-fishing period, and there is no fishing tax or anything like that.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
You can fish as much as you like.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
3) Easy transportation and great sightseeing routes<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Major attractions such as Haeundae\u2013Gwangalli\u2013Centum\u2013Nampo\u2013Songdo are close to each other<\/li>\n\n\n\n
You can get almost everywhere by the urban railway (subway)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Easy access to the airport, KTX, and port makes it convenient for travelers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
\u2192 Many people describe it as \u201can easy city for sightseeing\u201d<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
4) The food is excellent, and the local specialties differ from Seoul.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You must try milmyeon (cold wheat noodles), dwaeji gukbap (pork and rice soup), and ssiat hotteok (seed-filled sweet pancakes). Food found only in Busan<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Great value for the price<\/li>\n\n\n\n
The seafood is among the freshest in Korea. Eating somewhere farther from the port area, rather than in tourist spots, is a bit cheaper. I recommend “Busanjin Market”, or just tell a taxi driver “Seomyeon Pojangmacha Street” (street food tent alley) and they will take you there. They won\u2019t charge you more just because you are a foreigner. If you come across as friendly, you might even make a Korean friend.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\u2192 A city where foreigners are extremely satisfied with the food<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
5) A foreigner-friendly environment as an international city<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Busan International Film Festival (BIFF), an international port, and many foreign residents<\/li>\n\n\n\n
English signage and tourist information are the best in Korea after Seoul<\/li>\n\n\n\n
A high proportion of foreign travelers, international students, and expatriate workers makes it open-minded \u2192 One of the easiest Korean cities for foreigners to adapt to<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
